Schalk Steyn started realizing the effects of racial hatred and discrimination when he was 20 years old, and has since been working on building bridges between people of different races.

Schalk worked extensively in Africa and has had many memorable experiences both in his work and travels on the continent. He shares some of these stories in the book.

The heart of this book is firstly to be transparent about the author's own racist views and attitudes and how he has dealt with them in his life. It aims to act as an invitation for others to explore the wonderful world of living in unison and peace with people of all races, nations, and ethnic groups.
